Project for voestalpine in Linz
Kremsmüller is carrying out Lot 3, “Balance of Plant,” for voestalpine Stahl GmbH at Power Plant Unit 8 in Linz—from detailed engineering and electrical and instrumentation systems to installation and commissioning.
The project for voestalpine Stahl GmbH at Power Plant Unit 8 in Linz exemplifies the breadth of Kremsmüller’s capabilities: from engineering, steel construction, piping, and electrical and instrumentation systems to the installation of a central plant component between the boiler plant and the turbine. As part of the “Balance of Plant” contract, the project includes the supply of cooling water, condensate, and compressed air, as well as key components to increase the power plant’s efficiency. In total, the project involves several thousand meters of piping, hundreds of tons of steel, and a high degree of technical integration.
Our new YouTube video, Part 1/2, shows what industrial plant construction looks like in practice and the scale involved. The video provides insights into the project’s progress and the development of a complex plant area—watch it now.
