Salt bath line reconstruction extension
Semperit manufactures seals in Deggendorf. The salt baths, at 250 ° C, are used for extrusion. Therefore, many connections had to be designed as screw connections.

Assembly Work – Hot and Salty

A salt bath line at the German seal manufacturer Semperit in Deggendorf was reconstructed and two more were relocated.

Since the team of the Krieglach auxiliary plant is a permanent guest at Semperit’s main facility in Wimpassing, they were also on board for the projects in Deggendorf. A complete plant was to be moved. One salt bath line was dismantled and two further lines were relocated. In addition, the steelwork – i.e. platforms and stairs – had to be suitably modified and partly renewed. The Kremsmüller fitters were also involved in the assembly of the new furnaces and were responsible for all site coordination between those companies participating.

Almost all the work was carried out without interrupting operations, with the exception of the relocation of the salt baths. “It was precisely because we were working in Deggendorf for the first time that we were closely observed. Obviously, our performance made an impact because the next conversions will be carried out with us again,” enthuses project manager Günter Schafferhofer.
