Kremsmüller supplies electrical engineering solution for university campus
Kremsmüller has successfully completed a challenging project on the Burghausen campus: the new laboratory container facility for Rosenheim Technical University was completed on schedule and provides additional space for teaching, research, and development.
A total of 30 containers were installed to meet the increasing space requirements due to growing student numbers and intensive research activities, particularly in the future-oriented fields of hydrogen technology and bio-based materials. Since this winter semester, practical courses in the master’s program “Hydrogen Technology” have been held in the new laboratory containers. In addition, the rooms offer space for public events and modern working conditions at a high technical level.
Complete electrical engineering implementation from a single source
The Kremsmüller team took on the complete electrical engineering implementation for the new container facility – from planning to execution. A central component was the planning of the low-voltage main distribution board (LVMDB). The particular challenge was that the project was based on a TT network, which is why a protection class II LVMDB was developed and implemented in our own distribution board construction. All planning was carried out in EPLAN P8, taking into account all relevant standards. The scope of services also included the entire electrical installation: from the earthing system, fire alarm and safety lighting to cable routes, laying and connection. Measurements, documentation, sub-distribution boards, network cabling, lighting and sockets – everything was implemented from a single source.
Despite numerous adjustments during the course of the project, all changes were integrated quickly and reliably. The planning phase was completed in just two months, followed by two and a half months of implementation.
Strong cooperation for future projects
With this project, Kremsmüller underscores its expertise in implementing complex electrical engineering solutions and makes an important contribution to the further development of the Burghausen campus as a central educational location in Bavaria.
“We would like to thank Kremsmüller for the excellent cooperation and partnership in Burghausen. As in the past, we are more than satisfied with the quality and support and look forward to future joint projects,” says Florian Reischmann, Managing Director of Wesemann International GmbH.
