Eight kilometres of new pipeline are being laid.

Large-scale renovation in the Wilhelmshaven refinery

The erstwhile refinery in the north of Germany is currently being refurbished and modified into a giant storage tank

The entire tank complex, with a volume of 1.2 million cubic metres, is being modified in such a way that all the tanks can be used flexibly for storing mineral oil products ranging from crude oil, petrol or diesel to aviation turbine fuel. The tanks are already up to 95% full.

By the end of the year, a total of about 8 kilometres of pipeline including fittings will be installed. The pipes have a diameter of up to 40 inches.

The I&C work is being carried out since the middle of September. The modification and refurbishing of the LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) system are also at full throttle. Depending on the market environment, numerous other plant parts are waiting to be revitalised. Many decades of experience in the petrochemicals sector and in all the related sub-disciplines: that was the key factor why the customer entrusted Kremsmueller with this challenge.
