With a large project, Kremsmueller Romania is further expanding its position in the Romanian market. Together with a partner from the industry, Kremsmueller is taking over the upkeep of two Romanian oil fields. The Joint Venture KAROM was formed for this purpose. The new company will provide permanent jobs to more than 400 employees.

The association with the customer, a leading world-wide petrochemicals company, has already been in existence in Romania for years. In numerous technical fields involving I&C and mechanical engineering, substantial know-how has been consolidated in the conveying and production fields.

Apart from I&C installation, the KAROM team is responsible for preventive maintenance, upkeep, fault rectification, spare parts procurement and installation in the oil conveying areas. KAROM is also responsible for new installation and dismantling of plants in the conveying and production areas, and for the maintenance of pumps, fittings and compressors.

“With this large order in Romania, and our existing oil field services in Austria, we are consolidating our market position in this sector. Upkeep and maintenance in the petrochemicals field will be focal areas for us in the coming years”, says Gregor Kremsmueller.
