Total commitment for EU climate goals
In the Arpechim refinery, Kremsmueller România installed a trend-setting plant for conforming to modern environment standards.
The project GILB (Gasoline InLine Blending) of the Arpechim Refinery in Romania has its origins in the tightened environment requirements of the EU. By 2020, at least 10 percent bio-fuel has to be added to conventional fuel. Together with Kremsmueller România, these requirements have been already met successfully
From the engineering right up to the production and commissioning, Kremsmueller offered a complete package. ‘Turnkey’ here meant about 2,000 metres of piping, steel structures, pump assembly, many kilometres of cabling, switch cabinets, control systems and software generation.
The special challenge was the integration in existing systems of the refinery. With a specially developed regulation system, the plant has been well prepared for pressure variations in the supply lines.
