International certification for tank construction
After a successful audit, Kremsmueller is now authorised to manufacture pressure vessels and steam boilers according to ASME criteria.
To make the export activity of the tank and apparatus fabrication division even more efficient, the Kremsmueller Group decided last year to undergo an ASME certification.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers sets standards in various mechanical engineering domains, which are applied, accepted and recognised world-wide in 113 countries. Therefore, certification from the ASME is important for the international market, and increasingly, also in Europe. The American system is fundamentally different from the European standards.
It is therefore that much more a source of delight to us that the often challenging audit process was completed successfully. The specifications of the ASME Code were put down on paper and implemented in practice. This was made possible through intensive preparation and the active support of all those involved in the project. The technical equipment of the production facility came in for particular praise from the audit team. “Clearly among the best 20% in Europe”, was the ranking of the Steinhaus facility according to the Lead Auditor.
