Electrical fittings for 400 refugees

Kremsmueller finished the wiring of the container village in the premises of Vienna Airport in record time. The company put in 2100 hours of installation.

To relieve the refugee camp in Traiskirchen, a contract was given in October to build a container village in the premises of Vienna Airport. Kremsmueller was entrusted with the installation of the entire electrical system.

The crux of the matter: The living accommodation for about 400 refugees had to be ready for the refugees to move in by December – so that the village had to be ready for acceptance by the authorities at the beginning of December. This was a really narrow time window, in which the order had to be coordinated with others involved in the project and implemented. And indeed the deadline was kept, and all the work was completed in November.

The company put in about 2100 installation-hours for the totally 260 containers. Eight kilometres of cables were laid, and escape and safety lighting as well as outdoor lighting was installed, emergency light control centres were set up and distributors were assembled, trace heating was fitted for outdoor cables and various other kinds of work was carried out.
