There have been several articles about telecommunications technology, a division of instrumentation and control engineering. Projects in the construction of event antennas were, and still are, particularly exciting. Kremsmüller experts install mobile scaffold towers and equipment for nationwide mobile communication services at various major events. Frequency, the Danube Island Festival (Donauinselfest), Nova Rock and many other venues were equipped by Kremsmüller, making it possible for the tens of thousands of visitors to quickly transfer or share (LTE) live data such as photos and videos on Instagram, WhatsApp and the like.

However, little has been reported about the equipping of companies with indoor mobile radio installations – an important and no less exciting area of telecommunications technology. On behalf of A1, Kremsmüller acquires, plans and constructs small repeater systems and complete outdoor and indoor mobile radio installations exclusively throughout Austria. In particular, in-house systems for companies are gaining ground. This is the only way to ensure optimum mobile communication services for employees, customers and visitors in the buildings. Depending on the customer’s wishes and requirements, radio planning is the first step. Here, the system type, mobile radio networks (2G, 3G, 4G), supply antennas and cable types are defined and calculated to ensure good coverage. The installation process itself is carried out in close cooperation with the customer on site. Kremsmüller is responsible for the commissioning. Test calls are made to check whether the mobile radio installation functions smoothly and without any interference. Finally, acceptance takes place with A1 and the customer on site.

In recent months, the customers of indoor mobile radio installations have included Red Bull, OMV, the Hofburg and the State Archives to name but a few!
